The Pulasa has a full flavour and a soft but oily texture, found in the freshwaters in eastern India. Also known as Ilish, Palva. Pulasa is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, and calcium. The Pulasa Bengali cuts are ideal for curries, especially the traditional Bengali preparations.
